Karmah Eldesouky is an artist and visual designer from Pasadena, CA. She is a first generation Egyptian-American who was first exposed to art by her late mother, street art found all over Los Angeles, and playing video games - all of which influenced her decision to pursue art as a career. She is a self-taught artist who began receiving professional guidance in 2012 after being awarded a scholarship from the ArtCenter College of Design to attend their Saturday High Program. In her artistic practice, she explores and combines elements found in traditional drawing, design, and photography. She enjoys drawing from both imagination and observation - the zoo being her favorite place to draw. Her primary mediums include graphite, ink, colored pencil and digital software.
She is currently completing a Bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Computing and the Arts - Visual Arts (ICAM) and minoring in Studio at the University of California, San Diego. She is passionate about the entertainment industry and it's ability to connect people across different backgrounds and disciplines together. Recently, she has taken an interest in how art impacts the fields of marketing, business, and community development. Karmah spends her free time watching films, gaming, and visiting new places.
